James Cabinet Shop was started in 1980 by Raymond James. While working alongside his father, a well-known local homebuilder, Raymond learned to build cabinets because the job called for it. What began as a need turned into a lifelong trade and a successful business of his own.

Raymond built the shop the old-fashioned way: by doing good work, standing behind it, and letting his reputation speak for itself. Over the years, James Cabinet Shop became one of the few shops in the area equipped to handle commercial cabinet work.

At a young age, Brandon James began working and learning alongside his father. Brandon graduated from Georgia Southern University with a BA in Construction, Contracting & Technology and began to work full time with James Cabinet Shop. For more than 25 years, he’s learned the trade hands-on, from building and installing cabinets to designing and managing jobs.

Today, Brandon operates James Cabinet Shop, carrying the family business forward with the same work ethic and commitment to quality it was built on. We believe in doing the job right and building work that lasts.

We’re proud of what Raymond started, proud of what Brandon is carrying forward, and proud of the name on the door. Ultimately, we’re thankful to be able to recognize that we are nothing without Christ, who has truly made everything we’ve done possible.
